  While you have a great location, the rooms feel small,dumpy, not clean and don't appear renovated so it feels dirty. for the price you ask per night, it's not such a great deal. improving the rooms, including breakfast would be helpful given the price.not all the staff was friendly nor helpful but 1 lady was truly customer service oriented.

  I don't quite understand why the hotel is 3*. the only perks it has to offer are location and air-conditioning in the rooms (which we didn't need in the autumn). the rooms are very small and in need of renovation (walls are dirty, some stuff in the bathroom is broken etc). i also can't explain why hotel is ranked so high by the tripadvisor (the reason i booked it).

  (1) more sound insulation would help. the street was quite noisy on weekend evenings. (2) we would have liked a sleep covering that was not as warm as the comforters supplied ... specifically a light blanket.

  Seule petite reccomandation, le samedi soir un bar, juste en face de l entree de l'hôte,l est bondé, et de nombreuses personnes boivent dans la rue, tout est trés sympa, mais je pense que les clients qui avaient leur chambre sur cette rue peuvent être dérangés tard dans la nuit, sans cela tout est ok slts distinguées

  We had a fantastic experience staying at hotel la perle..the hotel is what you would expect for a 3-star hotel, such as clean, big washroom, good shower pressure, comfortable beds, etc..but what separates this hotel from others is the excellent customer service..as for location, it's in either great or average, depending on what you want..for instance, the eiffel tower is a solid 45-minute walk away, which may not be acceptable to tourists, but people who want to stay in a lively environment, with lots of restaurants, supermarkets, shops open and people milling the streets, this location is ideal..do not let the fact the eiffel tower is far keep you from staying in this location..for one, attractions such as notre dame and jardin du luxembourg are less than 10 minutes away, but also, when you are walking to and from attractions and/or restaurants, you get to soak up the french culture, which is incredible..the st. germain district (where hotel is located) is the perfect place to stay for 20-35 year olds.

  The staff was very friendly and helpful. rooms are very small and streetside rooms can be noisy as the cafes are very popular and crowds spill into the street beneath windows.great location especially if you are seasoned walkers. breakfast not a good value.

  Lovely hotel in a perfect location! very helpful staff. excellent breakfast included in room price. room was delightful with shuttered windows and wood beams in ceiling. very nice bar area for late night refreshments. minor problem: access to internet a little uneven. overall, terrific.

  Service was excellent, very helpful staff, made me and my sons sightseeing plans so much more organised and very succesful. very pleased that it through the hotel was possible to arrange transport from the airport - was told before arriving that payment to the taxi company could wait till check-out, but was asked at arrival to the hotel that payment had to be immidiately, in cash, which it was, but delayed next days plan because first thing had to go to the bank for more cash. breakfast was perfect enough for me and my sons appetite, but would have been nice if it had been told from the beginning that it was possible to get some eggs, only found out the 3. day overhearing conversation from table next to ours.

  Thoroughly enjoyed the stay. staff very friendly and most helpfull. hotel is in a great location within easy walking distance to all tourist attractions, shopping and restaurants/cafes.

  Everything was ship shape. the hotel even provided the loan of umbrellas when raining! breakfast was excellent, as was the location we would use this hotel again.

  The hotel & staff were a delight! nothing was too much trouble - we were able to stay there when volcanic clouds prohibited flying & they even found eurostar seats for us to get home one day late! welcoming at all times of the day [or night!] surrounded by fantastic value restaurants, all areas of paris within walking distant, it was a gem of a hotel & we would return there anytime!

  We had a great stay. the front desk staff was very kind and helpful and the location excellent. the room was the size expected for a small european hotel. the only thing that was somewhat an issue was having hot water in teh morning - it was ok very early in teh mornign or at night but between 8:00am and 11:00am we couldn't take showers.

  Die drei tage fanden wir (meine nichte und ich) uns im hotel la perle wunderbar untergebracht. das personal ist ausgesprochen freundlich und herzlich, die räumlichkeiten einladend und einfach zum wohlfühlen - auch wenn das zimmer etwas klein war: es war ruhig zum hof gelegen, mit einem schönen bad und allem was man braucht. und die lage ein traum! man tritt vor die tür und hat die qual der wahl, in welches der schönen kleinen restaurants man denn gehen soll. nach einem anstrengenden tag einfach ideal. Übrigens: die meisten sehenswürdigkeiten sind gut zu fuß zu erreichen! das hotel la perle ist unbedingt empfehlenswert.

  All the staffs at the hotel were very helpful and warm, and they were always happy and quick to respond to my requests (such as changing room to a quieter side). i stayed there for a week and i hoped that there were a little more variety for the breakfast. however overall i am very satisfied with my stay at la parle.

  Lachambre était petite mais on est à paris dans le quartier latin... literie et oreillers excellents. attention : penser au budget parking public (20 € la nuit) ! car c'est impossible de se garer dans la rue.

  We loved the atmosphere at hotel la perle ~ our charming room, the lobby, breakfast room & bar. staff were friendly & helpful ~ especially frankie! we loved all the restaurants closeby & the convenience to paris attractions. this was our favorite hotel of the 3 we stayed in while in france. we will return if we revisit paris.

  The hotel is in a lovely area with plenty to do right on the doorstep. we found it convenient for the tour bus, metro and many attractions. the staff were very welcoming and happy to give information etc.

  Terrific hotel in a great location. the staff was exceptional - pleasant, helpful and courteous (and they spoke english which was helpful given our unfortunately poor french). while the room was tiny, it was sufficient for our needs and was immaculate.

  Accueil "brouillon" et froid, par du personnel anglo-saxon, ce qui est choquant pour un hôtel très "parisien".pas de contrôle de papiers d'identité, on nous a donné 4 cartes magnétiques, alors que nous n'étions que 2, et n'importe qui aurait pu monter dans les chambres.l'hôtel est beau et très propre, très bien situé, mais un peu cher.

  From the minute you are greeted by the friendly, considerate staff the guest feels like the hotel la perle is a home away from home. the enjoyment of our first visit to paris was enhanced by the staff and surroundings of hlp. only drawback: small room.

  We stayed in the hotel on a sat night. the bar across the street was open until 3:30 - which was the time we began to fall asleep. our room was the room directl facing the bar. why we were not put in a room at the back of the hotel, where we would not have been disturbed? we had just arrived from canada so this was our second night of no sleep, the first being the flight over rom canada. i will be posting this on trip advisory!

  Our room was extremely hot and stuffy at night so we had to open the window to ventilate the room as the air con was not working this time of year. unfortunately on saturday night in particular it was extremely noisy outside so we didn't get much sleep. otherwise, could not fault the hotel or staff. would stay again if could be gauranteed a quieter room.

  On the whole a nice hotel with good facilities and staff friendly and helpful apart from when we first arrived - girl on reception very offhand and not welcoming and as first impressions are so important i was surprised. room very small but guess this is average for paris.

  Very nice hotel with an excellent location. walking distance to many art galleries and museums. lovely neighborhood with many very good local restaurants. nice and friendly stuff. rooms which faced street are a bit noisy (night live on the street stops around 3 am only). courtyard rooms are quiet though. next time in paris i definitely will book this hotel again.

  Our first rooom, overlooking was the street, was really noisy - because of the bar opposite closing at about 2am. on our last night we were moved to the back of the hotel and had a very quiet night there

  Bathrooms starting to look tired, and need some redecorating. very noisy in rooms on street, consequently no chance of opening window and sleeping, but very quiet on courtyard. overall a delight.
