  Il faudrait mieux insonoriser les portes des chambres, car il y a du jour qui passe sous la porte de chambre et le bruit du couloir est comme s(il était dans la chambre. dure de garder le sommeil quand le voisir entre ou sort de sa chambre...

  Although sound insulation between the rooms is only poor, it is in fact not worser than in other paris city hotels! regarding the noise-level from the outside, this is lower than in many other hotels because of its location in a side-street.

  Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. das zimmer war sehr nett, sauber und für eine städereise ausreichend gross genug, da man ja die meiste zeit nicht im hotel verbringt. das personal war freundlich und das ganze abiente und design des hotels wirkte auf uns sehr gelungen und erzeugte eine entspannte und angenehme atmosphäre.

  Accueil discret et de qualité. les personnels ont le sourire 24heures sur 24!! l'hôtel est décoré avec goût. les chambres, parties communes et sale de petit déjeuner sont toujours très propres. l'hôtel est situé dans une petite rue en hait du 6eme en retrait de toute circulation, mais au pied de la tour montparnasse (5minutes a pieds)avec toutes ses connections en transports (métro rer) et a 2 minutes a pieds de 2 lignes de métro (la 4 et la 12) hyper pratique. le rapport qualité prix est excellent!! cerise sur le gateau, nous avons eu le minibar offert durant toute la durée du séjour ( non alcoolisé).

  We were very pleased with this hotel. the staff were all pleasant and helpful, the bedroom comfortable, breakfast excellent. a great location with a 5 minute walk to the rer train with direct connection to the cdg airport. it compares very well with other hotels we have stayed in.

  Amazing service, friendly staff. small hole in the wall location but beautifully kept interior with clean rooms. they let us stay in the lobby even though our flight was late in the evening and did not make us feel uncomfortable at all about being there. free tea in the lobby but no free breakfast unfortunately. very clean new bathroom.

  Le rapport qualité/prix est correct si on réserve sur internet; sinon les prix sont élevés par rapport au standing offert, les chambres pourraient être plus spacieuses et la salle de bain correctement chauffée! de même quelques cotons et qtips ne seraient pas superflus.

  The staff were not very welcoming on arrival. with the breakfast it would have been nice if coffee or tes was served for you. it was all self service and for the price, was expensive.

  Wunderschönes hotel mit sehr freundlichem personal. das zimmer war sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und in einem perfekten zustand. das frühstück wird einem ins zimmer gebracht und auch sonst tut man alles, um zu helfen, wenn es ein problem gibt. habe den aufenthalt sehr genossen und würde jederzeit wieder in diesem hotel buchen. noch dazu ist die lage nahezu perfekt.

  Exceptionally clean with nice friendly staff. location is good, a little away from the main tourist areas but not too far. very much a boutique hotel and rooms are small but more than adequate. free soft drink mini-bar is a great idea.

  We chose le chaplain rive gauche based on location and some decent reviews for our first trip to paris. it met all expectations (and exceeded a few... we were worried about the lack of a/c and size of european rooms, but our room was great). the staff were exceptionally kind and spent quite some time with me, helping me call restaurants for reservations (since so many were closed in august).

  I had a wonderful stay at this hotel although the rooms were very small. the staff was courteous and very helpful at all times. location was excellent, right around the corner from the metro and a number of nice restaurants and patiesseries. a/c worked very well. would definitely recommend.

  Located in a quite place. very clean and good design. standard bedroom a bit small and too close from elevator, so a bit noisy. in this respect, a bit expensive. but otherwise, a good compromise.

  We really enjoyed our stay at le chaplain rive gauche! the staff are very friendly and helpful! the room we had was quite small, yet still very functional and comfortable.

  It`s a nice little hotel, but for the price (220 euro per night) i should be able to have a cup of coffee for free. the staff is courteous but sort of amateurish. the room - very small, even for paris standards. again - not worth the price.

  Stockholm, 2008-09-23. the hotel is perfectly situated next door to jardin de luxembourg in a very non-touristic area with a vast variety of cafés and restaurants, and where you're sleeping undisturbed by discos and traffic noise. it's in convenient walking distance from the centre of the quartier latin. furthermore, it's a 5-10 minute walk from the nearest rer station, with direct access to the airport charles de gaulle. we definately recommend this hotel for week/weekend stayovers or even for business travellers.

  The location and quality of the staff are very good; however, you can hear everything going on in the hotel. it seems as though the walls are made of paper. it's very unfortunate because the rooms are decorated nicely and staff is wonderful. it is only a 1 block walk from the metro station, which is nice. we were just really let down with how badly insulated the room was.

  This hotel was right beside vavin metro, and 10 min. walk from port royal station, the closest rer train stop on train from cdg airport.nice area within the tourist trail, close to luxembourg palace/gardens.didn't have breakfast but found it nice to have breakfast al fresco anywhere nearby for same price (14e) and a wider selection obviously. staff were very helpful, welcoming and spoke good english despite our efforts to speak french-a bit rusty!rooms not too small-very smart, modern design,no art in our room though but a nice tv!very clean bathroom, safe and minibar fridge and wi-fi.enjoy!

  Ground floor rooms are way too dark and should not be priced the same. upper floor rooms are still not value for money because of the small size and lack of amenities for this price range. the equation is off - throw in breakfast and internet and it starts to approach a level where we would reconsider.

  Room was small, but clean. the hotel was recently refurbished and the bathroom was fitted with modern shower/toilet facilities. the service at the front desk was prompt. the hotel is situated close to metro, and is in close proximity to many tourist attractions on the left bank.

  Didn't have a curtain on our bathroom window which was a bit uncomfortable. i realise it was being renovated but often there were workmen outside! and people working across the road at night. all in all, a great hotel and i would definately recomment it to friends.

  Recommend maybe. the size of the shower was 2 1/2 square so difficult to use and i am small. because of no air cond. we had to leave the window open and people from a restaurant across the road made a lot of noise.

  Everything was great, considering it is a 3-star hotel. very clean, friendly and helpful staff, great location, nice continental breakfast in a cute breakfast nook. it is small and not fancy, but we expected this in paris, at this rate. we heard some people complaining, but they were used to 4/5 star accomodation. we are fond of cozy places rich in local flavor. this hotel was just that and we were very happy with it. thank you.

  The hotel was close to the metro and within walking distance to the jardin. the room was on the small side, but it was clean and immaculate. the area was relatively quiet and for the price we paid, i would recommend it. there were cafes and patisseries close by, which made the area very convenient for all that we needed.

  1) the shower head was missing a part; this should not happen in a well-maintained hotel 2) veuillez expliquer à mm. les réceptionnistes que ce n'est pas sage de répondre en anglais quand on les adresse en français: celui n'est ni gentil ni poli; il veut dire, "moi, je parle anglais mieux que vous ne parle anglais" - et, voyez-vous, ce n'est pas toujours vrai.

  A very adequate accomodation in a good location near the metro. nothing fancy, but good sized rooms and pleasant staff. they were helpful in giving directions as well as planning transportation.

  Hotel bien situé avec des chambres propres et bien tenues mais de petite taille. l'acceuil est agréable, mais le petit déjeuner n'est pas à la hauteur de ce que proposent d'autres établissements. on y dort bien, mais on y mange mal.
